85 years already...
I still remember the 75th year anniversary back in 1999 as if it were yesterday. Hard to believe it's been 85 years of Meisterstuck already...
The 149 is a mighty pen, one that is mightier than the sword! But my mighty pen is still my 146; easier to use, fits in the pocket, and just a great pen overall.

And that's actually the one I'm considering getting next. I just got 2 Montblancs but neither of them are fountain pens (see pic below). Thanks for the post and sharing the interesting facts about it.. Long live the 149!...

I would dearly love to invest in another of these iconic pens. The problem is that I have had 2 and the barrels on both split just above the ink viewing window after only a couple of years careful use. Also I would really prefer a F Italic nib and Mont Bl...
