It may be interesting to look at michelin starred restaurants. Perhaps the Dolder Grand or Mesa. It's hard to go wrong with michelin starred restaurants, although the price may be a little on the high side. Tien

Hi, nicola, You mentioned important client, which implies business formality. And are they local? foodies? If not too formal, a local favorite (might have a tourist taint because of popularity and age of place) is a wurst restaurant just off bahnhofstrass... 

the Dolder Grand is a bit out of the way but nice. At that level You can try the main restaurant at the Bauer au Lac for something a little more centrally located.

I have had a look at the Baur au Lac and it seems to fit the bill perfectly! I like the fact that they offer vegetarian as my clients may have that preference. I'll make a note of your suggestion for the wurst and bier place too. While I don't think it wi... 

I would further reccommend: -Spice (considered best restaurant in Zürich) -Kunstube (considered best restaurant around and incl. Zürich) both above are closing or changing hands soon so you might have to consider that... Furthermore... I like -Lindenhofke... 

I have decided to go with the Baur au Lac this time (partly due to the availability of vegetarian dishes) but I'll definitly print and save your suggested list for future visits. It seems that Zurich can ruin you not only through the watch offerings Ah, s... 

... at the top of the Rennweg is suitably upmarket and has an excellent menu. It's also about as central as you can get, right in the middle of the old town (lots of shopping opportunities for the ladies as well as several vintage and used watch dealers).... 

The Widder is added to my now Golden List of restaurants in Zurich. As I just mentioned to Conrad, I decided to go for the Baur au Lac, but I am grateful for your response! Nikolaj
