I'm another Australian, living in a rural area of Victoria. I have dual British/Australian nationality.
My nick name is derived from australia randonneur man. Randonneur? What is a randonneur? It's a French word that means, amongst other things, someone who engages in marathon cycling. That means pedalling a bicycle up to 300 or 400 km in a day's ride. Now that I am over 50, it's getting hard to do but I hope to have a few more years of 200 km rides left in me.
My other interests are
- collecting ceramic art, especially celadon, chuns and copper reds.
- engineering, maths and science
- gardening
- music (Philip Glass, Indian classical and, for light relief, Cajun/Zydeco)
In the watch world, I have a very unfashionable fascination with high precision and I am wearing an Omega Marine Chronometer as I type. I also have a few mechanical watches, mainly Omegas.
