Corsica
A while since I was last there. Roads very windy around rocky crags, so need care and allow plenty of time. If hiring a car, small ones are better for driving, especially now in high season. The mountains and parklands in the central north are spectacular with lots of good walking up to 7,000 feet above sea level. The southern coastal areas have lovely beaches although there are good beaches on the west and north west coasts. Very lush green everywhere and plenty of water/streams. Some small towns rather old-fashioned in character.
