Honest Opinion from iPhone Lover
I enjoy Apple products. I have loved all of my iPhones. Currently, I am on an iPhone 4S. I saw the 5S the day it hit the stores, but didn't buy one. It's a great phone, and I would certainly buy one if my current phone died or disappeared, but I didn't see it having enough new features to warrant an "elective" upgrade. The new camera sounds like the best enhancement to me.
Having played with a friend's Samsung Galaxy S4, I feel tempted to wait for the rumored larger-screen iPhones due out next year, as a large screen would definitely enhance my experience using my phone for web surfing, emailing, and video viewing. On the other hand (so to speak), I may just go out and get a 5S because 2 years is too long to own a phone.

... changed my old iPhone 4 (no S) under warranty for a new iPhone 4, still no S :-) . I'm an Apple fan when it comes to their computers but every time i see a Samsung or other with those big screens .... Bim

Did you update to iOS 7? They released another update ( iOS 7.02) the other day. On my iPad3 it's still laggy but slightly better. iTunes is not as wacky as before. What's wierd is some people are reporting visual disturbances with the new ui. -MW

I'm using one for two or more months and I'm very happy with it. The camera is outstanding. I just need to learn if it's possible to shoot in RAW. Cheers, Nilo

S4 vs S4 Mini...

Always slow to upgrade...
I never upgrade until the general public has had a couple months with a major revision to an OS or application. I've got a stable iOS now, so I'm in no rush. I'm rather locked into Apple products, though not absolutely. I use a Mac and have a huge library...

Battery life on the S4 is great and the bonus is that it's removable! Factory is 2600 mAh but aftermarket higher capacity ones are available. I just got the iPhone 5S so I'll report back in a week or so on usage. -MW
I feel Apple really needs to release a much larger sized screen
4" is just too damn small now. It looks funny when people are using their large fingers trying to type out an email on such a small screen. I hope Apple releases a phone the same size as the Samsung S4 next year. If they do, they will definitely grab shar...

I really like the Galaxy Note 3, will have to play with one when it comes out and see if its way too big or not. From my limited knowledge of iOS you can't roll back from 7 to iOS6. On Android I can do a full backup and restore. I hope they update and fix...

The customization/flexibility on Android is what I like. Maybe when the jailbreak comes out for the 5S I might enjoy it more. -MW
