i prefer Iggys version with fresh sakura ebi
guess even after all these years...the shadow of Ignitius Chan still hangs...
- i also nitpicked that there was just a tinge too much "truffleness"!! to be frank, this dish has become quite commonplace, even second tier restaurants have their own versions of this. so far Iggys version is the benchmark.
i generally dislike mixture of sea and land, or surf and turf, or whatever fancy catchy descriptive combinations. but the white asparagus with Uni is quite exquisite. i really like their interpretation of the sauce Gribiche, which i must confess, i finished off the remnants of with focaccia bread..
the Argus beef tenderloin is done to char grilled perfection...but it doesn't seem to reflect in the photo. However, diner next to me feels his wasn't charred enough.
i skipped dessert, as I am trying fighting rear guard action in my own Battle of the Bulge to relief two inches of stomach ground
