Let me intoduce myself
Hello Gentlemen ,
By chance last Saturday I clicked this thread and spent all the afternoon reading and enjoying the interesting lifes of those who responded , there is a lot of inspiring things I read here......
I know it is a very old thread but did not want to leave it without introducing myself :
My name is Nacho , I love watches , specially vintage ones , and above all vintage Omega sports models ( I have been lucky Enough to get almost all the models I was Interested in ) , vintage Panerai ( by the way , my login name Nacho217 comes after a Marina Militare Ref. 217 I had) and , also love vintage Rolex .
In contemporary brands there is just one above all for me : RICHARD MILLE ........simply amazing!!! Technologic Art , I fell in love forever with RM right from the moment I saw the first picture of the 009 years ago.
Besides watches , I also love travelling , sports cars , karting , Formula 1 , Moto GP , skiing , music , friends , women , Architecture , technology, Precolumbian Art , custom & Italian motorbikes , superyatchs , design , Art of course .....a lot of things as you can see.
I am older than I'd like ( last year was a bit hard for me...(joking) , as I was 50 ) I am happily married with the best possible wife for 25 years and we have one son.
My biggest passion in life is Art , I spend almost every afternoon painting , I am lucky enough to have my studio located beside my home and there is where I spend my time and where I am the happiest man on earth , I only have one problem : I am over productive and my studio will soon be full with all my paintings.....today I ended my work number 1061, I wish I could sell all of them and begin with a naked studio.
I love research and developing new techniques to work ( years ago discovered a new way of working on hand made paper, I called it "oxide on paper" ) and the use of "strange" or industrial materials in my works : sand , concrete , marble , industrial varnishes , tar , burlap........I think I have a personal and recognizable production.
Hope there are some Art lovers here and wish they like my work , though I will also like to receive your critics , my impossible dream would be that my work would be known all over the world ( one also can live of dreams...)
Sorry for my belated introduction , thanks for taking rour time to read me and thanks to the responsibles of this wonderful forum I come everyday : THE PURISTS .
