Looks like a great setup.
I have a special 7.62x51 that I have only shot out to 500 yards. It is insanely accurate, and still far from broken in (maybe 200 rounds total). Not sure it will run with your gun beyond that range, but it suits my needs, and I'm certain I can stretch its limits a bit further.
My next long range choice would be a 338 Lapua Magnum. Nothing I need, but something I want 
BTW, as DRMW pointed out, there is a good group here that loves our guns as much as our watches. I'm in it. I can't necessarily say I love my guns more, but I can certainly say if I could only keep one or the other, I would become like all these other robots who need to check their phone to see what time it is.

Thank you. Many competition shooters are using 6.5mm. From what I have read, it has a magical resistance to the wind. I think the light recoil and After I develop a proper load, I think this is going to be my go to caliber for hunting and target shooting....

Excellent rifle
Very nice set up for a long range rifle. I'm intrigued by the bolt design of the Blaser LRS, the push/pull straight bolt action feels different than a typical Remington 700PSS where it has a standard rotate and pull bolt action. Looking forward to hearing...
Action
I had the same action in 300 win mag. The bolt pull was very smooth, with quick follow up shots. But, I didn't send many follow up shots down range - it kicked like a mule. I will post a review when I finally get a chance to shoot it. John
