One thing that I have not tried...
I setup that I have not used extensively is a Eotech or Aimpoint with a magnifier. I thought about that as you can get the 1x you mentioned. I guess along with a BUIS you can use a 45 offset mini RDS and it would have all types of options.

Looks like a great setup. I grabbed a NF NXS Compact for the LMT. I have only tried it once :-( but loved it. Keep us posted after some range time.

Thanks for looking Mikey. The Nightforce is a big step up over the Leupold VX-R line, the NXS compact is a great choice on a higher end rifle such as the LMT. Hope you get to get out to the range more often! -MW

Scott belongs to a beautiful rifle range that goes out to 500. I'm fairly well stocked on hardware and ammo... just need some time ;-) Happy shooting Brother Ming.

We don't have that many outdoor ranges near us but the one we go to shoot the .50's is under 800 yards. We're off this weekend to test out some new toys so stay tuned! -MW

These are great scopes for the money. I have the 3-9 version on a Noveske chainsaw 5.56 that is my go-to daylight varmint hunter. Durable scope with clear glass. On a side note - I am impatiently waiting on a new thermal scope. I will post a short review ...
