not sure whether I should congratulate you on this expensive purchase or not because i sense you have doubts.
Persevere with it longer. For me, because I am familiar with the rangefinder system, I got more keepers/strike rate of good photos with my Leica M than with my digital. Do you wear glasses ? I do but I have a -2.5 diopter lens fitted to the eyepiece for sight correction.Works much better than looking through your correction glasses. You can also fit a magnification lens on the eyepiece to increase the size of the focussing patch. I get very good results with my 90 mm.lens without the magnification kit. ( I think they have 1.25 and 1.5 magnification.
You have been very busy with your camera purchases all documented here. I read about your Olympus OMD, then your D600 , then your D800, then your Fuji XE 1 ( the sexy one ) and now Leica.
Please give follow up impressions as you get to know your Leica better.

And battered ! LOL .... Grossly underestimated the level of skill required to use a rangefinder effectively. Skills can be acquired, however, inability to effectively split focus is a real pain ..that is harder to overcome Time will tell .... ;)

leica dealers carry them. It is cylindrical and very neat when screwed on. Ask your optometrist what diopter you should get . Also which eye you use for focussing as the left eye may be different to your right eye. Cheers, dreamer

Leica Diopter, tried a couple aftermarket ... the Leica one works best. It will cost, but a mere fraction of the camera. The same applies for the magnifier, brightest and best optics, IMO.
