Hi Daos,
Tattoos, the designs and why people choose them has always intrigued me.
I vividly recall talking to a very elderly lady when I was doing undergraduate medical training. Despite her being very frail, she had a sharp mind, a real gleam in her eye and a wicked sense of humor; she used to give the senior consultants hell, which obviously intrigued us as students who wouldn’t say “boo” to them. When I came to examine her, she had a large tattoo on her back which looked nearly as old as her. She died soon after and I always regret not asking her the story of that tattoo. She was a pretty cool lady, even in her frail state; the sort of person that you felt had done and seen a lot. I always wished I had met her 75 years earlier!
