Back in the day it seems Ettore would dine with potential customers (or at least with the royal ones). 
Meant more as an amusing piece of trivia and definitely not as a judgement of Albanians generally.
Your point is an important part of their clan culture that still partially exists (especially amongst their diaspora), and while they may sometimes be hard to 'read' or fathom for outsiders, they are truly loyal and unbelievably committed once one gets close to them.

While we did not stop at that particular station to enquire, overall it has been a very interesting, memorable trip. Including a horse being tied to the back bumper of a car and being transported down the road that way (posted the pic a while ago)
