A rare piece of true modern horological history!
And I didn't realize this until recently, but Freaks are still quite rare, not just the first generation, but all of them. Apparently only around 5,000 Freaks have been produced in the 24 years since it was introduced. That's only around 200 watches/year.

Very interesting podcast indeed. And yes, on 22nd minute Jean-Christophe Sabatier says that as of Jan 2023 only 5000 Freaks have been produced across all variations! Pity he doesn't mention anywhere how many 1st Gen were produced.
Actually 650 across 2 colors of gold isn't too many
Quite a limited edition IMHO, by modern standards
