A UN Maxi Marinje Chronometer will be a perfect choice
for you. As Marcus has already suggested, I highly recommend UN's rubber strap for day-to-day wear or during any aquatic activities. Once sized properly (you have to cut the rubber strap to do so), the strap wears extremely comfortably with the UN deployant clasp. I normally don't like deployant clasps, and even more so when used on a rubber strap, but UN's deployant works very well and sits in the middle of your wrist (assuming u sized the rubber strap properly).

UN as day-to-day watch
Hi, I am new here and this is my first message. I haven't had a nice mechanical watch since my last one was stolen in 1993 and am just thinking of buying again. I have a preference for watches with Arabic numerals and do like the look of the Maxi Marine C...

... that also serves as elegant dress watch. The only thing to take care about would be the strap: For your water sports, I would strongly suggest to add a rubber strap, since leather straps will suffer in water, especially salt water. For the dinner part...
