Ulysse Nardin

Beautiful and Rare

The case is a screwback if i'm not mistaken so it would be post 1956, maybe late 1950's, early 1960's.

The movement is a modified Valjoux 72C with the removal of the hour register at 6 o'clock. Rare, as this movement would normally have been adapted for the lesser steel or gold plated/filled cases of the time and the complete 72C would have been used for precious metal cases.

There is also a creme de la creme version that Ulysse Nardin made which incorporated a Valjoux 88 movement, had the missing 6 o'clock register and a moonphase complication above this register.

Classicism at its best, thanks for posting.
