A week ago I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at the Ulysse Nardin facilities in Le Locle and La Chaux-du-Fonds (sp?). My host couldn't have been more accommodating and the employees couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. The photos that...

I am so happy you were able to make this journey. Ulysse Nardin is a first class watch brand. On the Torpilleur, I think it is better without the enamel dial. More like the original ship's chronometers, and now with so many UN's featuring the enamel dial,...

My understanding is the original buyer of 8 pcs reneged and UN had to go out and find a buyer for the 3 pcs that were already in process. I don't know if those 3 are already sold or could be acquired through the dealer network. It's a stunning watch in th... 

... but it appears to be a tourbillon made by Christophe Claret (typical signature of him is the big jewel atop the balance stud) and looks like the "Royal Blue" with bridges made from sapphire. Maybe there is a different tourbillon escapement? DiamonSil?...

DC is UN's in house enamel dial shop. It was acquired a few years ago. It's a small shop with 6 workers, perhaps better described as artisans. In addition to baked enamel dials, DC makes the "cloisonne" dials and "champlevé" dials, both of which are pains...
