Ulysse Nardin

Sometimes, my friend, God is willing - but customs are not ...

So I really hope you will have this treasure in your hands today, and it would be great if you share with us your impressions and pictures! Will you answer a personal question?

What made you decide to aquire this watch? We argued whether the execution of the horses on the dial is more "old world" instyle, meaning it was designed with the Oriental and possibly European tradition in mind, rather than the Asian zodiac symbolism. So were you especially intrigued by the horses as such? Or by how they were depicted, in colour and pose? If you consider these questions too personal, then please do not feel pressed to reply, I am just curious, since especially these enamel dial watches have a rather strong cultural and historical context in their imagery.

Best regards,
Marcus
