Exploring further, I feel UN is a brand that has always stayed true to their roots and vision, especially under Rolf's leadership. Sure, they have allowed some of the regular models to follow the colors and materials trends set by other brands, and that is OK. UN's trend is to simplify and perfect mechanisms. To invent new methods and be innovative. They follow nobody in these important areas. Genius? Yes.
Please allow me to add a recently snapped photo that I hope adds to the thread (not my watch but a piece I consider a UN Legend):

If I had to sum it in only one picture, it would be with this one: One innovative and crazy vision, the other being more classical, but not less sophisticated, both expressing a certain idea of Horology, with some accents of Poetry. I never knew which one...
If I wear or can afford any of these two marvels, I think I will be
prayed upon by my friends for being a true watch collector. Lovely marvels of watch invention of modern times!!!!!

The Freak is a bit capricious, but we all know this is tghe price to pay for it.
