The silver dial version originally was my favourite ....
... of the Marine Perpetual series, because I loved the contrast of blue on silver-white, and its similarity with my Marine Diver. What I disliked, though (as on my Diver) was the poor legibility of the rotating bezel, and the small amount of luminosity on the hands. So when I got the chance to acquire the limited edition Acqua Perpetual with black dial, I got the watch that is among the absolute favourite timepieces in my small collection.

The blue dial/bezel may be my favorite combo but the silver/white dial is easier on the eyes as the multiple displays blend in the background.

assume that is leap year indicator in the seconds subdial? What does the 16 indicate?

In the seconds subdiall is a day-of-the-week display. In the photo above, it shows FRI (though partly hidden by the hour hand).
The 16 is showing the date (the 16th).
All of the displays (other than the time) show: May 16, 2025 FRIDAY. (photo taken last Friday)

What’s not to love about this masterpiece? PC and 30 bar. Beautiful and practical! I also like the fresh look of the dial (white or silver?) - ideal for summer. All the best Thomas
