While you are right that the former Acqua appeared rather thick in relation to the diameter, 45mm are quite a lot. Yet I am less worried about the case itself, but about the new crown design. It is very attractive, but a) highly difficult to get a grip at, which makes it a hassle to manually wind the watch, but b) even more important is that it protrudes more prominently from the case. Together with the large case diameter, this guarantees the crown to dig firmly into your palm's back as soon as you bend the hand.I just had a painful "wound", caused by a rounder shaped crown on a 46mm case, so I am happy to wear my beloved 40mm Marine Diver again.
