Difference between clasp and folding buckle and spring bar of VC
Hi all,
I have a chance to collect the VC Cornes De Vache platinum soon, and am looking for the deployant. When browsing the VC website, I see there are clasp and folding buckle. Anyone knows the difference between the two? Do they require a strap length different from the pin buckle?
Another question is if I use the steel spring bar from third party strap makers, will it erode the lug hole? My guess is not because the watch is made by platinum harder than steel, but I want to make sure.

VC calls its folding buckles "double" which translates to a butterfly type. I have never seen a single folding buckle from VC which may require a shorter strap at one end. ...

BTW, where did you see the folding buckle on the VC website? Other than straps I don't see any accessories listed. Also, I wouldn't worry about the spring bars. I have several "regular" bars from aftermarket strap makers being used on a few platinum watch...

If it doesn't suit your skin tone, you do well to go for the platinum version,
which is great. It has the same dial with blue tachymeter scale as the rose gold variant and I personally like this dial much better than the one of the steel variant.
Yes, this little screw is a little annoying, even if very safe.
Anyway, I prefer the regular pin buckle now. And I certainly understand why you prefer being able to make changes more freely!
