You continue my education about VC and the QDI in particular.
I also would have chosen the Purist route and selected a saffire dial model. But the thing that most speaks to me with regard to the QDI is the case design, which is so complex yet elegant and beautiful. VC case designs really get to me.
You do still have the blue dial Overseas in your VC collection, right? What a trio this, the OS and the PC make!

Regarding the Chinese market....
I think that even with the solid dials on the QDI, the core of demand from China for VC watches lies within the Patrimony family. The diamond set watches are certainly so intended, and I would bet that most sales of those diamond set watches in the US end...
