I find that I have to agree with Nicolas
The cause is truly lovely but the black and red dial is far too sporty for this watch and creates a real esthetic clash for me. Its tolerable in the OC, but only just. Even there I prefer the Japanese combination with the blue trim. Unfortunately here in the Malte Chrono, this combination is unsuitable.
It would however be interesting to see what this watch looks like with my favourite Les Historiques chrono combination...platinum (or WG) with a salmon dial.

An all black dial without this " Racing " Treatment would have been superb, IMO... With these touches of Red, I remember the old Peugeot 205 GTI which were tuned in a ridicluous way... A nice watch ruined by a vulgar design... SAD. Nicolas

I was not very convinced when I saw the press release. But after having seen the watch "in metal", I was seduced by the finishing of the dial. Sure the Malte Chronograph is not the best context for such decoration but at the end, I think the result is qui...

you would see from AP or RM but a bit unusual for VC IMO.Haven't seen one in the metal so can't really judge.Like the first of your wrist shots FX and IMO it does look nice in a sporty way and would go well with something casual like a black leather jacke...
