Vacheron Constantin

Please find below a few pics of the WG Malte Chronograph especially made for the famous AD in Paris, Dubail. It is a LE of 30 watches. The main feature of this watch is a more sportive design than the classic Malte chronograph: black dial, red hands... yo...  

An all black dial without this " Racing " Treatment would have been superb, IMO... With these touches of Red, I remember the old Peugeot 205 GTI which were tuned in a ridicluous way... A nice watch ruined by a vulgar design... SAD. Nicolas

I was not very convinced when I saw the press release. But after having seen the watch "in metal", I was seduced by the finishing of the dial. Sure the Malte Chronograph is not the best context for such decoration but at the end, I think the result is qui... 

And half a dozen time... I even tried it, I couldn't believe it was so bad... A big deception, each time. But it is just not the idea I have of a Vacheron Watch, maybe... Best, Nicolas

100x better than the average Dubail special edition, that would have required covering the case and strap and buckle and perhaps with diamonds A

Count me as someone who likes the watch. The red is a nice touch and reminds me of the series of Malte Tonneau chronograph watches that VC made for the North American market back in 2007, though that used a chocolate dial. Bill...  

The cause is truly lovely but the black and red dial is far too sporty for this watch and creates a real esthetic clash for me. Its tolerable in the OC, but only just. Even there I prefer the Japanese combination with the blue trim. Unfortunately here in ... 

you would see from AP or RM but a bit unusual for VC IMO.Haven't seen one in the metal so can't really judge.Like the first of your wrist shots FX and IMO it does look nice in a sporty way and would go well with something casual like a black leather jacke...
