I hope the court will allow some discussion of "thinness"
Begging the Forum's pardon for listening in, but that is one very beautiful watch!
I've only had one VC and perhaps this is the one I should aim for as my next. You've reminded me of the virtue of thinness (on my wrist if not my waist).
Perhaps it's time to find my thinnest watch today and wear it. I'm not sure of the thickness dimension but the crown is the thickest part.
Nothing so grand as yours but a treat to wear on special occasions.
I hope it's ok for the UG to show its face on a quick visit here at the VC forum, being a neighbor of sorts near Geneva and at the end of the alphabet?

Slimness is a great complication.
The movement of your VC is just 1.64 mm while my wife's PP has a movement of 1.77 mm. But the solid case back helps to keep this platinum watch also pretty slim. Best, Kari ...

in 5227P. And if (=when)that comes, I will get it! This reference is really elegant in all metals but I believe that platinum would make it perfect. Best, Kari

Would love to see this side by side with the JLC Ultra Thin Jubilee and Piaget Altiplano 900P. Thin is indeed a complication to admire! Enjoy this VC!!!
the piaget are very nice too but so far...
for me I didn't see the same character of this watch. Sometimes it might be the dial but I suspect the difference here is also the case construction that with the lugs makes this vacheron wear bigger than 36mm. Compared it side by side with my Patek 5127 ...
No comparison between VC and Piaget in my opinion. Piaget felt forced with none of the sublime charm of the 1955.
The closest contender to me is the JLC 1907 or Jubilee. Between those two it\'s a very tough call. I currently lean to JLC, but I love both.
