the VC in my eyes is a true "travel watch".
The SD is a great looking watch. I love mine, but it's a GMT watch to me.
The VC is more fun, if you can say that, with the world map displaying all 24 hours.

The repeated Maltese cross motifs on the bezel and bracelet are not to my taste, but the dial on this piece is very cool.

Own a Sky-d, but …
as a travel watch Rolex gmt master or exp II are better in terms of usability over multiple timezones.
Both are great.
But I always choose Rolex. And really admire the skydweller. Just wish I had the wrist to wear one. Here’s a photo with my friend (who has 4 skydwellers - not kidding). ...
