During this period it was entirely acceptable for owners to purchase aftermarket gold bracelets to compliment their timepieces, especially if the model didn't come with one. These were made by established jewellers and manufactures with equally high reputations. Some also made the factory bracelets, like Gay Frères. Here is an example where the maker Grimminger affixed a Maltese Cross, so clearly ordered to compliment a V&C.

If you can identify the maker's mark, it will establish who made it. I'm confused by your title though, which part of this watch have we not seen before and why?

I chuckle because sellers declare everything as rare, but some nuance is required when connoisseurs discuss V&C. In comparison with most other brands, all Vacheron et Constantin pieces are rare! Your example would have been one of 25 of the same refer...
