Not sure what your reason is for not wanting to send it to VC, but in all honesty I don't think I'd trust anyone other than VC to work on it. I have seen far to many "over-polished" amature jobs that absolutely ruin great watches. Depending on how bad the scratch or dent is the cape cod cloth probably won't be of much help...I think it probably works best on light surface scratches. Good luck and hopefully things will be ok.

A quick malte dual time question?
hey VC fans, I recently aquired a Malte Duel Time Regulator WG, after several months of use I finally commited the dreadfull mistake I was hoping to avoid for at least a couple of years... I banged it into a door on my way out... which inevitably scratche...

Perhaps the best thing to do is live with it as is for now. Its already scratched/dented. I'm sure it will get at least other small fine scratches so maybe you should wait until it needs a complete overhaul and then you can let VC deal with everything at ...

Thank you for all your input, I will probably take it to an AD to get the scratch out and will not risk any Magiver tacktics on this beautiful piece
