Pulling the plug on VC 5400V blue…
Have been trying every option to find a new one… Boutique is not even accepting wait list anymore. Wven grey dealers in Dubai dont have new pieces ( 2 top grey dealers told me it is easier to find a 5711 than a VC 5300V nowadays). Yesterday, a dealer i know called me to show me a brand new piece. I loved it. Absoletely crazy price but he is not willing to negotiate. i will take it. I fee this is now following the crazy track of 5711 and 15202 amd dont want to miss the train.
For owners, what is your experience with the watch? Thanks for advising.

not worth the premium to be honest , even the 5711 or the 15202

It reminds me a little bit of leather jackets, once you realize you can get full custom order and higher craftsmanship with independents it becomes almost impossible to pay a premium for off the rack goods.
Nothing is worth a premium aside from life necessities.
These are luxury items not necessities and although I have fallen prey to paying a ridiculous amount of dealer mark up for a car (porsche). I refuse to be holding that bag again when the tide washes out.
Not sure which "advising" you are asking for if you already decided you "will" take it, but it is certainly another beautiful SS + blue dial + bracelet watch, no doubt about that ;-)
To be always honest though, I'd never pay one cent above MSRP for it (nor for any Nautilus or Royal Oak, of course ;-) But I'm glad VC has also been able to create some hype, eventually! Cheers.
Sweet watch. Back when you could actually get desirable pieces I passed on one from an AD for a very good price. Instead I bought a different piece that massively went up in value.
So I can't be too upset but its too bad I couldn't afford both!
