Smartphones easier to use than full camera set, yes for sure there is no doubt
and their qualty is indeed getting better and better, but it's not actual photography. It just depends what you want to do, what result you expect...
But neither in 5 nor in 10 years you will be able to get pics like the ones Jocke is offering us to see. It is not a question of camera only but the way you play with light + you need to shoot in RAW.
And apart from horological pics, check on flickr or 500px what you can do with a real camera and you will be surprised... But obviously it's by very far not the camera only, it is a lot the photographer that makes the difference.

This dial is relatively hard to take in picture as it offers a lot of reflects and contrast with the light. Best wishes Alkiro

But be honest, it's so uncomfortable. While macros are the best way to enjoy the superb finishing of our watches....and share them with our fellows.

Yes I am agree with you. I know that when you want to exceed a certain level or quality in photography you have to use a true camera instead of a smartphone.
And equipment is not sufficient. Photography is a true art so you have to learn and learn every time for sure (it works for many other fields of course). But for the moment (may be one day in the future), I don\'t want to invest in a camera + equipment. M...
