I think the blue and silvery white may have been chosen for this edition to align with the colours of the canton of Zurich.
I very much like your Gen 2 as well. That big date really is great and it’s a shame they couldn’t incorporate it in Gen 3. That would have been awesome. Maybe it will make a comeback for Gen 4!

I’ve been wearing this all week. The big date on the Gen 2 is definitely nicer but this Gen 3 has its own virtues, like the in-house movement (which winds beautifully) and the quick release and micro adjustable bracelet. Some old pictures. All the best, J...

It was a limited run of 38 chronograph and time/date models for the reopening of the Zurich Boutique. A kindly Purist told me that when there is a limited run for a boutique, VC make the number consistent with the boutique’s address, in this case 38 Bahnh... 

It’s a very nice city.
