The case is chrome plated. No chance it could be original V&C
You can see some pitting on the case, showing the brass core.
AFAIK, V&C has never used plated cases.
That, plus the wrong possitionning of the crown is a good indication of a recased ladies pocket movement, in a case that has nothing to do with V&C (although the shape could be fitting).

Re-cased ladies lepine movement to be sure. Beware any vintage watch requiring an overhaul to run properly. Parts in general are nonexistent. Dislodged seconds hand and dial cracks suggest some trauma and broken pivots would render it scrap. I don’t conde...
