Still enjoying mine since 2006. This is one of my most accurate watches.

This is one of those watches that I "almost" bought. When VC updated the dial in 2002 to this design this reference went from one that did nothing to me to one that was compelling. The only reason I didn't get it was because there was always some other VC...

This reminds me of the Master Geogrpahique layout from JLC. The positioning of the power reserve, the date subdial. The sub seconds here is replaced in the JLC Master Geo with the dual timezone indicator. Is this movement in any way related to that of the... 

The movement is definitely from JLC. JLC uses an extension of it for their Master Geographic, but also had a simpler watch, the Master Reserve de Marche that is an even closer cousin. Bill

I have owned both the JLC RDM in steel and the VC 47200 in white gold. I sold the JLC. The 47200 has basically the exact same JLC movement as the older version of the Master RDM that had bi-directional winding. The only two visible differences that I coul...
