Were they able to shorten the stems when you brought the watches back or do they still look too long? But that is very interesting that the water resistance is tested "while the crowns are NOT screwed down," and that the water resistance is not reliant on the screw-down feature. I wonder if that is true for other such non-VC watches as well. And i wonder if this applies to the chrono pushers.
I am also not cavalier enough to try using the Overseas underwater with things unscrewed nor to try using the chrono pushers underwater either.

I'm gobsmacked to hear this! What is the point of the screw-down pushers and crown then? I've heard just the opposite, that WR isn't even warrantied if the crown isn't fully screwed down. Certainly like to hear this info confirmed by the manufacture...and...
My understanding
Is that the screw down collars are to protect the pushers from physical knocks... Similar to crown guards. Best Gary
