Wabi competition
Left side got lost some Wabi by exchanging crown (not original spare part), seconds hand (not original spare part), retaining it well with naturally oxided silvered guillauché dial, case and the rest unrestored.
Right side got lost some Wabi at the dial by cleaning and destruction caused by this action.
The recommendation for the aficionado: The ideal would be the most little and most authentic changed (serviced), natural (not to much) wear.
Brushed up and over-polished is intrusive and ugly, because simply not appropriate. The aficionado could very well anticipate the original aging.

I think this is similar in some ways to the concept of wabi-sabi. Sometimes it takes decades for a watch (and a watch lover) to reach maturity. ...
