Are you comfortable with furnishing an offer to the owner?

I doubt he wants to sell it, David Walter *just* delivered it to him after servicing yesterday. I would advise your offer to be higher than what he paid at auction for it last year (or was it early this year???)... I forgot which auction house but I’m sur... 

Amazing pocket watch and the delicate pieces are neat to see from almost 200 years ago. Such skill.

You have lots of courage/competence to take on this restoration work. It must be great to work on such a historical piece
