A real "Caipiroska" requires more lime and sugar. A real Purist never orders one with Vodka but a "Caipirinha" (replace the Vodka by Cachaça). Then you have a hangover of solid proportions! Muito obrigado.
of course the real thing is Cachaca, uma boa pinga! I admit to prefer vodka. Cachaca voce toma e nao levanta mais, mas e mais "Purist", legal! Um abraco Francois

. . . German, eat Italian, and . . . . . . drink Mexican - you can't go wrong! The bottle of tequila is a gift from a dear Purist friend. I'm saving it for a special occasion, so unable comment on its flavor yet. One of my favorites is Don Julio 1942 . . ...
My limited private stash. Those the years I have found my taste have swift towards the more or shall we say less "processed" type. I mainly look for Blanco these day and stop drinking Anejo hence the picture above. Some samples that I find refreshing(for ...

2 classics for sure, the watch and the wine. The Penfolds Grange and Henschke 's Hill of grace ( controversially screw capped since 2005 ) IMHO are Australia's " first growth ". I shudder with angst , that the Australian government subsidised the pulling o...
it was bottled in the 'whiskey corking method' for that era specially for a Reading UK based wine merchant. i bought it at auction for £2.00, did some research and now it sits as a display piece as it will be undrinkable. i must try the drinkable ver...
It was the 2001 that brought out the sweet tooth in our family a few years back and now such wines are a constant fixture. I might also recommend Doisy Daene L'extravagant as a viable alternative when the occasion does not call for the heavy guns of d'Yqu...
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate her liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti ... I do wish we could chat longer, but ... ... I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye....
I be having a dinner at a friend's this Saturday, whats on the menu? Home cooked wagyu and home sliced sashimi. Have this crazy friend who loves Japan that he collects Japanese cutting knives for cooking. He loves to cook too. A humble watch collector wit...

Just came back from a family reunion in Napa Valley. Lots of wine up there. Got me worried about some of my old wines. So I think this weekend we might drink this one, as we have a lot of California wines from a decade ago. The watch - One of the watches ...
