7th of February Friday Scan: Your friendly watch.
This Friday, the theme is open: Your favourite Friendly Watch, which means your trustful companion, the one you bring with you everywhere, which gives you pleasure, which is useful, well, you got the idea.
For me, this Friday, it will not be the most expensive, nor the rarest nor the most exclusive. It will just be one Rolex, no gilt no chapter ring, but with a special matte dial which will not oblige you to sell your house: The 1675 Mini Dial.
I always have a Vintage Rolex GMT when I travel, always.
So, this one is linked to trips, escapes, freedom, fun, pleasure.

It's the details I love ...
It might be a simple 3-hand watch with date, but the attention to the details of case design, lugs, colour accents, hands and dial mean that you could stare at this for hours. Beautiful. Enjoy! Andrew

Sicura four crowns are better than two
Basically the two crowns at 8 and 10 control the inner rings independently. The crown at 2 with the red ring resets the minute hand to 12 and the timing starts. It measure the time continuously in minutes. Crown at 4 set and winds the watch. Bill

Well, after three years I landed this one today
