… after a week with a pocket watch is this classic; and it feels good. Don’t understand why some people were slow to adopt the wrist watch after the First World War. No introduction required for this one …...
very nice Richard, i've always liked the broad arrow, but never owned one. having checked out the omega website today to reply to Pete i can see that there are a lot of nice choices to be had from the meteorite to the solar impulse. best Graham From: www ...
Thanks Graham, While the colours and pattern in the jacket are a little exaggerated in that photo, it does demonstrate how versatile the Speedy Pro is; it can be easily dressed up or down. Regards Andrew
SInce I'm working, from here, on a project that targets Sweden ... let's say it's Friday, of a very long week. Using a Sub LN (Lunette Noire). A great weekend to all, Nilo...
I'm doing a series of the recently discontinued Rolex models ("the departed" - translates to Portuguese as "fresh corpses"): - GMT II - Sub date - Sub LV/LN - SD Some day I will post the entire series, on the Rolex area, and the "making of". Cheers, Nilo

And he bought it for her while we were in Italy together... I know this watch very well, Ginger. I even tried it, and I loved it. Nice catch! Best, my friend. Nicolas This message has been edited by amanico on 2010-06-17 21:37:55
i dont know why this model doesnt get much airtime as it is a great shape. perhaps its more suited to a ladies wrist than a gents and we are very short on lady purists. one never knows why some are often seen and others rarely seen. one of lifes mysteries...
And I like the Michaelangelo better in the smaller sizes - some of UN's designs don't scale well (IMHO) and get overwhelming in the really large watches. Have fun this week, G
i have a similar feeling about the current sizes. our Ludwig perpetual is the perfect size in my opinion, yet they make them bigger and bigger. as for the week, sunday wont be much fun i think. its fathers day in UK and my first year with no children arou...
sadly i had to sell my vintage GS's, but one day i will get another more modern one. i'd like a modern handwind. the finish on these pieces is superb, easily as good as many swiss brands. the Japanese should be very proud of their watchmaking prowess, esp...

Tell me one thing, my friend: Is the box of your watch blue or brown? It should be blue, normally. If it is the case, I may have the solution, which would arrange you and me. Best, Nicolas
Thank you, Nicolas! The box is brown, purchased the watch incl. box and paper from an auction house some years ago. I was under the impression that the blue boxes was before the brown ones?! Best Blomman
To me, the brown box came before the blue one, which started in the early 70ies, my friend. So, the blue may be the correct one for your E 875, while the brown may be the good one for my E 855. Best, my friend. Nicolas
I have 6 JLC’s from the late 60 th and early 70 th with brown boxes. The blue boxes I have are in worse condition and I got separate without watch, so I have always assumed they were older… But when you think of if, the 90 th boxes are blue, so I might be...
Then, I will need to find a nice place, neutral, to enhance and to focus on them. I think I have something like 11 or 12 Vintage boxes. The good thing is that it will be less dangerous than with watches! Best, Nicolas

Today is the 70th anniversary of General De Gaulle's resistance statement after the fall of France to the Nazi's. That's what is in French that you can not read. Cheers, -- Richard.
Oliver, that it is always sunny in the South of France is simply the difference between there and Germany, sorry. Your consolation is ALS is in Germany ;-) Enjoy Patrice! -- Richard.
