the seasons don't change. What changes are what's on our wrists, adding color to an otherwise dull work calendar...and bringing life back into things in the tropics Mine for today and the weekend which starts tomorrow. HAGWE. Richard...
... but heading into Autumn / Fall. The 1999 Chrono is on my wrist as I type, but the shot is taken earlier in the month with the turning oak trees in the garden. Andrew...
... see what I see. The 1999 Chrono draws on so many classic chronograph designs. The blued hands are particularly nice and I like how you can see the blued underside reflected in the polished hour and minute hands and indices. Andrew
How do you think it is aging? I mean the design, but the brass case as well! I have often wondered if it would be better without the continuous seconds hand. It seems incongruous with the othe retrograde displays. They could have then removed the seconds ...
In the Peak District . I think the Chatsworth house was bigger then the Vaux-Le-Vicomte castle, the gardens were quite different (not in size). We had a very nice B&B next to the garden, only two km from the house .... . Here a view of the Vaux-Le-Vic...
Very true that there is a vast difference between an English Picturesque garden and a French formal garden. (Although it is interesting that both have an axial vista from the house) I did not realize that Chatsworth is bigger than Vaux le Vicomte. Thanks ...
Chatsworth House is great but the gardens are magnificent. One of the few places your children will enjoy as much as the adults, exploring the amazing themed gardens. Did you see the weeping willow? It's a "tree" made from iron piping that sprays water ev...
Pictures are from last WE as I was lucky to be invited at the Monaco F1 GP and spent some time with the Red Bull team. A F1 stearing whell really looks like a gameboy super adavnced!!! I felt I had to wear a chrono there! HAGWE Matt...
Thanks to Simon for organising and everyone I met for a great day. Two Fifty Fathoms meet again after their worldwide adventures. Always great to catch up with new friends and old. HAGWE....
red, white and blue for the Queens Jubilee. and a better pic of the watch. more details on the AHCI forum when i get time and many pictures. have a great weekend, for us an extended one, no work until wednesday so glad this arrived today. enjoy Graham...
Graham, Since you "broke" your "rule", now you can grab a Longines LLD? Now serious: Beautiful dragon and, I know, 64 was the "Year of Dragon", so you maintain your theme. Cheers, Nilo
Well said that chap!! Must keep a stiff upper lip. LOL In all seriousness, I hope that the UK has a marvellous weekend and enjoys the celebrations. I remember in 1977 at the tender age of 19, serving in the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards, street lining t...
yep your right Tony, doing trooping the colour on horseback was a great experience that only a lucky few ever get involved in. not sure my trombone playing was up to much when i was on horseback, but thats the least of your worries in that position i shal...
The earlier pics you sent me gave a far better impression of the superb dial my friend .... . What's happening in the UK ? A special day ? I must admit that when it comes to my home country i'm not patriotic at all ... but then you know what country i liv...

. . . that's a rare bird! Don't see many of these early hummers in C-cases, and fewer on mesh bracelets. Cool stuff, John. Thanks for sharing an Omega with us.
Thanks Art. My Father has worn a silver dialled version my entire life and his explanation of the tuning fork was my first introduction to horology. Gladly he is still in excellent health so inheriting it is thankfully a long way off. I bought myself this...
actually it is. It's a delightful 70F (21C), very unusual for June. Usually by now we are at the start of the 90F (32C) weather. New Grantour on the wrist today. HAGWE! This message has been edited by jporos on 2012-06-01 11:16:54...
. . . my fascination for many a springtime. It seems to have passed me by in recent years due to Glashütte's recent variations on a similar theme, but there's no substitute for the bespoke craftsmanship of Kalbe's native watchmaker.
. . . as Uncle Kris is taking off for several months before returning in the fall. We're going out to dinner, then heading back to my parent's place for coffee and dessert. Hope the weekend is as pleasant for you, too!
Hi All Just got this back from the spa today - its always good to see an old friend again. Just everso slightly cautious on the consequences of its time at the spa - time will tell! Refreshed from its trip to the spa HAGWE & for those in the UK lets hope ...
I always thought that the way Nomos implemented their power reserve indicator was one of the most elegant I've seen. Hope the spa work was not too extensive...
Thanks I've always thought of them as elegant watches, they're fairly small by current standards (36 mm I think) but it does wear larger due to the thin bezel. Also like the fact that even though it has a power reserve and date its still manages to have a...
after seeing the Nomos on mesh last week i got a mesh for mine today and it transforms the watch even though the strap are my favourite leather. strange that. G
Hi Yes the strap is rather special - have seen pictures of Stowa Antea with a mesh strap., can't recall see a Nomos with one though. I'm still not sure about metal bracelets - though mesh is different. Cheers JML
