The strap appears to be attached with two screws on each side into the bottom of the case - making it one of the rare watches where I never change straps 😊🤷🏻‍♂️

My wrist is puny, too and it still works nicely 😊👍🏻

Love the lugs on that 5172, very vc IMO. And that KV 😳

The Patek and VC CDV both feature signature lugs for dress chronographs - but very different approaches. The Patek’s stepped lugs add an Art Deco touch and the CDV - well that’s something else. And the GMT-6 has the signature “tear drop” KV lugs

My only colored metal watch, hiding a true gem of a movement inside (the Zenith Cal. 135 adapted to central seconds in its Vostok 2809 iteration). I have worn this with black tie, albeit not on this strap 😂 And the Minerva Pythagore is always a contender ...

That Gold Submariner is a dream! Didn’t know you owned this gem. I love golden Subs, specially the earlier niple dials 1680/8 200 mts like yours. I own a later version which is very nice with its blue turned purple dial but it lacks the charm of your prev...

and thank you for your kind words. I started collecting by choosing watches that gave me personal pleasure, something that I intended to continue doing. Trends come and go but if you really love a watch, a car or a woman none of it matters 😉

. . . a Flightmaster . . . . . . on special occasions. I might even wear short pants. But if I had to pick out a dress watch from my collection by traditional standards, it would be the Genève. And no short pants. Tennis shoes, maybe. ;-) ...
