Crowns.. Hmmmh.. Pretty interesting topic..

Friends,
As already stated in the intro to this WS, although it
sounds like a simple, just necessary item, it may offer
quite a variety, shape & versatile function to interact with our tic-tacs..

Here just 2 examples to humbly chip in..

A watch here, hilarious and exuberant, of bold egg type shape & a bit daring color,
in addition with an alarm.. First of all a typical 70ies piece, a paradigm from (J)LC,
The LC 3072 with its round and bending curves, making a great fit to the wrist,
and with an extravaganza, pleasing the eye.
- Here the crowns follow the same curved, dome-like design, as the whole watch,
as they are of semi curved shape, to harmonize with the case.

This collage below illustrates the watch & her matching crown design
- "half-cupolas", sort of.. - a lot of wrist presence and a pleasant blue rhapsody, IMHO..

Next to follow, is my trustworthy Master Compressor Memovox, Compressor case &
a characteristic crown system, which by compressing a gasket-seal inside the crown
superbly protects against fluid entry.

- The cute element here, is the 2 color code for the status of the crown:
red arrow: crown can be operated ( crown @4 watch winding & setting, and crown @2 the typical JLC memovox
alarm functionality.. These crowns deliver a strong design element to the Compressor System pieces,
but not without charm & balance.

One still senses the bold & avantgarde design skills of Ms Magali Metrailler,
a great designer for JLC

The little collage below highlights the features and offers a shallow look on a " noble beater"
that's probably, what I would call it.. Lots of strength, but with a twist of sophistication..
