Dad´s watch
This time, my dad´s watch is posted. I gave it to him on his 70th birthday a couple of years ago. In my mind his first decent wristwatch since the one my mother gave him at their engagement 
.
His Portofino required a revision and small repair which a watchmaker at my place did. Today I was able to collect the watch, so I think it may be justifiable to post it. I also exchanged the strap which was really worn out.
The last pic shows my dad´s engagement watch which he gave my one day, because he didn´t wear it any more. It´s still running o.k.

lovely UN Ginger and one rarely seen here in either ladies or gents sizes
i dont know why this model doesnt get much airtime as it is a great shape. perhaps its more suited to a ladies wrist than a gents and we are very short on lady purists. one never knows why some are often seen and others rarely seen. one of lifes mysteries...

I have the contrary feeling, Blomman.
To me, the brown box came before the blue one, which started in the early 70ies, my friend. So, the blue may be the correct one for your E 875, while the brown may be the good one for my E 855. Best, my friend. Nicolas

I have 6 JLC’s from the late 60 th and early 70 th with brown boxes. The blue boxes I have are in worse condition and I got separate without watch, so I have always assumed they were older… But when you think of if, the 90 th boxes are blue, so I might be...
One day, when I get a bit of time,
