Dear friends It has been long and cold winter. Luckily it has come to end finally (at least in this part of Globe) so it is time to start...... Over the years it was hard not to notice that lot of PuristS enjoy sea and seaside. There has been many marvelo...
but a valid one. I'd be surprised any survived till this day, perhaps in the Tianjin Factory Watch Museum. It will be quite a feat to lay your hands on a original piece. But hey its 1963 ! Worn Year ! Or is that expoanded to +/- 1 yr now ;)
No expansion, its just one of those bargain watches i took a liking too. Knowing that the chinese bought the venus production equipment makes it more interesting as it is really a venus 170(?) a movement you wont find in anything else without searching ha...

Maybe the Red Sea...? ;) But I was fortunet to meet a friend this week that brought his Reverso Red! Never saw it in real until this week - WOW! Even better that in pics! Guess I am in trouble now... Not really sure if I should thank him or curse him...?!...

Being 100 km (62 miles) from the ocean. The shell traveled a bit more: 12772 km (7937 miles) from here to the Persian Gulf (Dubai). My wife and I got this shell in Dubai during a short stay there long time ago (2007). The watch is my very sturdy (and pede...
Another legend from the deep from late 1967 / 1968. A model that collaborated with Rolex on friendly terms. 300 meter 1000 feet T "Taucher" A lot to be said about this one but you will have to do a little research until I have a chance to write a full exp...
I will read you with a lot of interest... As you know, I am big fan of vintage diving watches, but I know quite onthing about these Doxas! Best, Nicolas.
This is not an original just a photo. You have to contact the book owner who will write you a letter of confirmation. The book stays with him. The conquistador is not MN. but Doxa was used a lot in MN thanks to the popularity of Cousteau. a+ Bill
Its just nice to see that some lucky persons are getting the sun :) Up until this week, the only thing that was peeling off my skin was ice! LOL ;) Everybody HAGWE :)

too difficult to date exactly, but i have identified the model made from 64-67 and am looking at 2 of them. i've owned one before, but as usual i let it go. Great watches G
Well there are 2 of them available. 1 seller i dont trust too much. Too many listed, bid on then auctions ended early only to find them listed again. A dealer after a big price. The other, not quite as good condition, but honest. What i like about the Gly...

Was it a screw down crown? Just curious to learn more as there is not much out there. I do have a watch dive review from the the mid 60's I need to dig out and see what there is to learn about OW. Thanks Bill ...
Thanks Bill, Its a screwdown crown, screwdown very thick plexi, monocoque case. I think i sent you some details last year when i did the post. Jenny got the patent, but had no manufacturing facility so O&W made them for Jenny, Philip and themselves. There...

The Submariner Museum a couple of years ago and it was lovely to find yourself inside an old WW2 Sub. Things must have been pretty hairy being inside one of them when they were under attack!! Love the suit, perhaps you could wear it out on a Saturday nigh...
