Hello Nicolas!! Another very nice theme this week end...
... and my "Friendly Watch" is somewhat like yours: not a very expensive watch, nor a rare one, just the one which accompanied me to many trips, vacations, work, scuba diving excursions and many fun and unforgettable occassions and also in some I prefer to forget.
It is connected with memories and life... as a matter of fact, it has been my daily companion as my only watch for many decades, till I started with my watch collecting "manía" a few years ago!
That´s a lot of time on the wrist if we consider I got it in February 1977, as a present of my wife trying to replace my old faithfull 5513 stolen from me during an armed robbery I suffered a few days before.
Nowadays it is semi retired from duty. Too valuable for me to risk it and have this one stolen, so I prefer other watches for daily use, but when in doubt about "what to wear today" or "what to take for a trip abroad" this is the one I get out of my safe.
You know it: my old 1680 Submariner. After all, my love for watches started when I was a lad, with a Rolex Sub!

Sicura four crowns are better than two
Basically the two crowns at 8 and 10 control the inner rings independently. The crown at 2 with the red ring resets the minute hand to 12 and the timing starts. It measure the time continuously in minutes. Crown at 4 set and winds the watch. Bill

Well, after three years I landed this one today
Thanks to Champthekid, he sold me my long sought TTP65 SS Now, if only I was heading to a nice warm Caribbean island, to get away from all the ice and snow, ths would be my only watch for the trip! . See me smiling? Best, and thanks Steve! Joe ...
