I must've told the story of my decade-long hunt for a 910 Flightmaster . . .

. . . half a dozen times by now.  The short version is: found on Craigslist early one January morning three years ago, and acquired three days later . . .

. . . after meeting the original owner in a bank lobby.  Four hundred miles away in Glendale, Arizona

Yes, I went on safari to bag this big-game trophy.

So what could possibly top that experience?

Being a spotter for Abel.

Located this bad boy with Zeiss* optics . . .

. . . at 15K Km range.  Called in co-ordinates to Abel, who pulled the trigger.  Bang!  Dropped with one shot.  (Aka a wire transfer.)

Then, I dragged the carcass over land and sea to my hunting lodge where Abel will eventually retrieve his trophy, after being duly tended by my taxidermist.  (Who doubles as a watchmaker in his spare time.)

Hunting, or spotting?

They're both a thrill.

;-)

* my computer station eyeglasses have Zeiss lenses - really!
