. . . to these period pieces (at one time, a Flightmaster 910 was at the top of my list), the drive to own even one chronograph has dissipated. I've had half a dozen and all have been disposed of, essentially for the same reason: lack of utility. They're fascinating technically and cool operationally, but I've never been one to measure time for almost any practical purpose. When I had the El Primero, I was able to use it only once in a practicable sense. Unless the circumstances are exceptional, it's doubtful a chronograph will ever enter my possession again. And, if one does, it will most likely be a Longines 30CH from the same period. I can't quite get Marv's ~ '67 Conquest . . .
