As I have progressed on my collecting journey I’ve had to reassess my approach. I’m fortunate to be able to access my grail watches - within reason - and had to rethink why I’m interested in a particular wristwatch before I purchase. In this regard my grail choice is my Voutilainen as the length of the process (over 18 months) and the iterative interactions in its manufacture added to the pleasure of ownership. 
Not to say that I haven’t purchased since and that I’m not actively looking at new acquisitions, but I think it will be hard to replicate the overall experience of this one.

My problem is I’m incessantly thirsty. I’m trying to curb my addiction by slowing down the process of purchasing. Right now I’m working with Artisans de Geneve on a project which will keep me distracted for the next 6 months or so - hopefully.
