My big pleasure dear Captain!
I wish it could be done my dear friend. That was my dream when I was very young. Cousteau visited our Country several times and I had the opportunity of assisting to one of his conferences. I was very young and he was my absolute hero who I had been following since about 1958 with his first films and books and even before his TV series. I also signed (and paid the dues) to be part of the Cousteau Society.
After that conference I went to the hotel where he was staying (he was secretly hosted in a hotel) but I could get the information.
There were two or three other fans who had gotten the information as well. We were told to wait for him in the lobby to be able to salute him. When he finally appeared he didn´t show to be very friendly and only accepted to shake hands, and refuse to sign the books we had there, but he accepted to receive a letter I had written to him.
But he (or at least a secretary) never answered me. I felt very disappointed at his so unfriendly attitude to his fans and this episode changed my personal vision of him regret to say.
Anyway up to that day I had dreamed with being part of the Calypso crew or at least being able to visit the ship. I felt very sad when the ship sinked after a collision with a barge and that it never could be completely rebuilt so far due to several problems with the families and heirs.
Anyway he introduced me to the U/W world and sparked my desire of being a diver some day.

The U/N is a bit vintage but very nice. The Germano & Walter I could get some weeks ago. I think it is the last T-500 they produced. Very heavy and rough.

You are welcome dear @lberti. Mine is the first generation version. Actually this my second DSSD as the first one was a black dial one which I gifted to my son almost unused.
Then I fell in love with this version dial and bought it. Looks like yours is the later version with a wider bracelet at the lugs isn´t it? Keep enjoying yours so much! Hagwe, Abel
