Now I know why I . . .
. . . shouldn't have been taken unawares of your proclivities, padj. You're a member of the musicians fraternity. I always reveled in music , but had no talent whatsoever. Literally.
In my mid-forties, I decided to learn one of my favorite instruments, the shvi, an ancient Armenian woodwind, just to prove to myself that I could play. After making inquiries, I was introduced to Ararat Petrossian (see clip in my opening post), who invited me over to his studio for an assessment. After taking a few tests, he said, "You've no rhythm and less talent, but I'll take you on anyways."
